2.4: Unable to set default browser

Hi list,

i seem to be unable to change the default browser from ephiphany to 
galeon after upgrading to 2.4.

I used Configuration Editor to change the following settings:

/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http(s) ==> galeon --new-window %s
/desktop/gnome/applications/browser ==> galeon

Still, epiphany keeps popping up each time i double click an URL

Of course i restarted Gnome.

What am i missing?
