I have:
root@cluster-02:~# ls /var/lib/glusterd/groups
db-workload gluster-block metadata-cache nl-cache virt

and root@cluster-02:~# apt-file list glusterfs-server gives:
...
glusterfs-server: /var/lib/glusterd/groups/db-workload
glusterfs-server: /var/lib/glusterd/groups/gluster-block
glusterfs-server: /var/lib/glusterd/groups/metadata-cache
glusterfs-server: /var/lib/glusterd/groups/nl-cache
glusterfs-server: /var/lib/glusterd/groups/virt
...
So samba group :-(

And looking with "dpkg -l | grep glusterfs-server gives:
root@cluster-02:~# dpkg -l |grep glusterfs-server
ii glusterfs-server 7.2-1 amd64 clustered file-system (server package)
seems to me the file is missing :-(
