Yes. this should work on 3.8 release with the command you mentioned.
It is recommended to add the brick when no I/O is happening on the
volume.
For an example
Glusterfs 2 node replication
Current glusterfs storage size 4 TB.
After adding Arbiter brick in this environment what will be
the result.
The volume would be converted from 1x2 to 1x(2+1).
