Disk usage stats

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to quickly determine current usage in a given directory. I’m asking this because when the quota feature is on, the stats show the current quota and usage almost instantaneously. So, is there a way to use that mechanism for an arbitrary directory on gluster?

If that’s not possible, I know that geo-replication uses a mechanism to detect changes within a volume by keeping a changelog. Is there a way to get to the log and parse it for my own use? For example, if I knew where a change occurred in the volume tree, I could du only a subset of directories, etc.

Thanks,
  Sergei
