Hi Sergei,

That's Good. The aux mount point is not removed. In some versions, you could find aux
mount point in /var/run/gluster/<VOLNAME>.

The quota IS enabled indeed!

Though curiously this additional mount exists only on one of the pool members -- one to which a large copying operation is underway.

So I guess we're good. Thanks so much!!

Hi Sergei,

Have you enabled quota on your volume?

Please paste the output of 'gluster v info' command and 'gluster v quota <VOLNAME> list' command.

When quota is enabled on a volume, the volume gets mounted to /run/gluster/<VOLNAME> when the
directory or volume is set a with a quota limit for the first time and remains till quota is disabled on the volume.
This is known as Auxiliary mount point. This is just another mount with some special permissions which is
needed for quota to set the limit and display the limit.

Hence, if quota is enabled in your setup, you have not misconfigured anything ;-) Otherwise let's debug.

Hi everybody,

Sorry if this has been answered before. I did try to search.

When issuing the mount command, the output includes my expected mount which is defined as:

localhost:/gluster_volume /mnt/gluster  glusterfs _netdev,defaults  0 0

but also this mount:

localhost:gluster_volume on /run/gluster/gluster_volume type fuse.glusterfs (rw,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,max_read=131072)

Since I didn't explicitly configure the /run/gluster/ftp_volume mount, I'm curious if this is expected or it's a misconfiguration on my part?

Thanks,
  Sergei
