Yep, that's a documentation bug. The source says, "By default, all
connections are allowed." - xlators/nfs/server/src/nfs.c#1848..1849

You can use following feature for nfs which is more advanced than the
normal nfs.rpc-auth-allow

And also here, by default all the clients are rejected.
