Hi Nicolas,

Only files created _after_ features.shard is enabled will be 'sharded'. You could create a volume with sharding enabled and copy the images from your original volume into this new volume.
If you don't like the feature and want to revert to the old state for some reason, then you would need to create a new volume without sharding and copy all your images from the sharded volume into this new volume.
The different pieces of the file will get naturally stitched together once they land in the new volume.

Hi Ramesh,

Thank you for this very detailled and nice post.
We're using a similar setup here in one of our DC, except the sharding
we weren't aware of.
Is it possible to activate the sharding afterward, or is it something to
be done before filling the volume?
Is it revertable?
