Hello,
For now, main issue is number of files per folder, and the "ls -l" becoming super slow. All of this in replication mode, distributed setup are not impacted as far as I know.
In replication mode, client check against all replicated node for metadata info, to ensure it's all good.
My 2 cents

Hi everyone,I was wondering if anyone has done any performance testing on gluster 3.62 and above where they test the maximum number of files and folders you can have before performance starts to drop.I read that gluster can support as many files as there are inodes and it should support 2^64 files. Is there a cut off point where after a certain number of files are put in a folder , the read/write performance drops off?Any relevant information would be helpful. Thanks,Kaamesh
