PCCheersUsing dm-thinp with a modern kernel/lvm shouldn't be a problem.check out these slides from last years Red Hat Summit.Hidm-thinp is fully supported in RHEL6 and RHEL7 (and presumably their clones!) The downstream Red Hat Gluster Storage product has been using dm-thinp for a while (RHEL 6.5 I think)
