What I did was: 1) unmount gluster volume 2) shutdown gluster volume: $ gluster volume stop VOLUME_NAME" 3) Removed enough data from the filled-beyond-sanity brick 4) Repaired XFS metadata: $ xfs_repair /dev/sdX 4) Restarted gluster volume 5) Added new node+bricks as usual. 6) Mounted glusterfs share. Worked fine.
