Volume Creation Advice

Looking for best practice recommendations/opinions.

Deploying an 8 node glusterfs cluster.  Each server will have four 4 TB drives in a RAID 5 config.

So approx. 96 TB, and I’d like to set up a distributed (4 ways) replicated volume with replica count of 2.  So cut that in half.

As this will be used as backup/archive only, I’m thinking its easiest to manage to just create one large volume.  Any strong recommendations against doing so?

Thanks,
Taylor
