Guys,
I'm new to the GlusterFS community, so please forgive any noobishness.
I'm wondering if there are any torture tests or some other collection of
test cases that would allow system builders to exercise their configs
prior to production deployment.
How do folks here go about their stress testing?
thanks,

3.6.2 is a major release and introduces some new features in cluster

Hi,
When will 3.6 be considered stable? I'm waiting to deploy a cluster into
a production environment. I've built a 3.6.2 cluster and have put a live
copy of the data onto it, which took rsync a solid 2 weeks to do. I
don't really want to go through that again if I can help it.
We thought it was - including getting tested by a some places fairly
intensively before - until bugs started showing up when people deployed
it to production.
We're actively working on a 3.6.3 release, fixing the reported bugs,
and should have a beta out in the near-ish future. (3.6.3beta1 came
out on 11th Feb, we're still working on a few more patches)
Hi Justin,
Thanks for coming back to me on this.
Is it the intention that 3.6.3 will contain fixes to all of the
currently known bugs, or is it that some of them are urgent enough to
release 3.6.3 early, whilst leaving some of the less important bugs for
3.6.4?
I'm keen to roll out our cluster as soon as reasonably possible, but not
at the expense of dependability as what we'll be using it for is mission
critical.
And yeah, not great. :/
Maybe, but it happens. At least the issues are being addressed. I'm
pleased to be aware, anyway. Given that bugs are there, I'd rather know
about them than not.
I guess 3.6.3 might stay in beta for longer than usual in this case?
Cheers,
Kingsley.
