Re: Only one server in GlusterFS pair is working.

Check your client logs. There should be no differences between mounting from either server. The server specified is only used for retrieving the volume configuration.

The client log should show why it's failing.

Also, Ubuntu ships an ancient broken version. Use our official ppa. You can find it on www.gluster.org.

Hi list.

Did I ask this question the wrong way, or does nobody know how to diagnose this issue?

I've created a GlusterFS server pair, with GlusterFS v 3.2.5 (because Debian uses that version, and all our servers are Debian), using the official guide:http://www.gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/Getting_started_overview

I'm able to successfully mount the Gluster volume from another machine on the network and read and write files to it, but I can only connect to server 1 and I only see files written to server 1. I show no files being saved to server 2, and I can't mount the volume on server 2. I'm still able to do a peer probe from server 2, and the status of the server appears to be fine, so I don't understand what's going on here.

Here's some output from the diagnostics I know about, any help in diagnosing this problem would be much appreciated.
