Is this phenomenon normal when use gluster default configure?

gluster 3.4.5 (default configure)
centos 6.5
replica 2, 2 server
client do FIO test

FIO command:
fio -directory=/mnt/dzq -direct=1 -ioengine=sync -rw=read -bs=32K -size=1G -numjobs=8 -runtime=60 -ramp_time=20 -exitall -group_reporting -name=glfs_test
output:
glfs_test: (g=0): rw=read, bs=32K-32K/32K-32K/32K-32K, ioengine=sync, iodepth=1
