Hi,

Thanks for that. I may well give those a go, but as a test I've just
rebooted 3 of my brick servers (4 in total) but gluster didn't start up
automatically so I'm going to try to figure out why that is before I
start playing with different versions.

Before rebooting, I used chkconfig to enable the services by default:

# chkconfig --list | grep glust
glusterd        0:off   1:off   2:on    3:on    4:on    5:on    6:off
glusterfsd      0:off   1:off   2:on    3:on    4:on    5:on    6:off

(servers are using runlevel 3).

Right now I'm not quite sure which log files have relevant information
in them so I'm having a bit of a hunt around.
