I know it hurts to lose data, and I know it hurts if it seems that it's the fault of someone else's code/program. As FOSS developer it's often annoying that users don't do anything to make our lives easier: They don't help, they don't pay - they don't even say thank you in most cases. But when *anything* fails them, there's suddenly lots of time to offload your frustration on the devs. However, for the sake of completeness, may I ask, how much you have supported/paid the developers at all in order to feel like having the right to insult them like this? At our facility, we are using GlusterFS successfully for production, and so far it was a breeze to set up, has never failed us - and the devs are helpful if asked. If you need professional support for your setup, there's always the possibility to ask RedHat for a storage subscription. Enough troll-feeding for today.
