This error mostly pop up when the metadata of actual file does not match the one provided by the repo metdata files. so I believe createrepo fixed it.

I noticed that it is working as of this morning on my Fedora 20 and
RHEL6 boxes.
Yup, I think there was some issue with repo metadata. I had recreated the repo , after you reported the issue and that fixed it.
