hi,
     I performed the same test:
This is the output on the mount:
root@pranithk-laptop - /mnt/r2
11:34:27 :) ⚡ ls -l
total 0
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Jul 22 11:34 test1
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Jul 22 11:34 test2
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Jul 22 11:34 test3
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Jul 22 11:34 test4

-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Jul 22 11:34 test8
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Jul 22 11:34 test9

This is the output on bricks:

11:34:29 :) ⚡ ls -l /home/gfs/r2_?
/home/gfs/r2_0:

Could you also give the output on bricks and mount please.

dear all:

         i used glusterfs version 3.5.1.
the volume type is distributed+replica. while i touch test{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},the first replica's filelist is test1,test2,test3,test4,test5,test6,test7,test8,test9.
the second replica's file list is test3,test6,test7
my question is why test3,test6,test7 appeared in the first replica's filelist and the second replica's filelist .it does not match the feature of the distributed volume type.
the volume info is ok:
# gluster volume info

Volume Name: dr
Type: Distributed-Replicate
Volume ID: 0ae73b53-28be-43d5-9b86-807f4b58373b
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 2 x 2 = 4
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: 192.168.109.214:/home/dr
Brick2: 192.168.109.215:/home/dr
Brick3: 192.168.109.216:/home/dr
Brick4: 192.168.109.217:/home/dr

while the volume type is only distributed, it works fine.
best&regards
thanks!!!
