As a data point, the freebsd-fs mailing list conversation starting
here might be useful:

  http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-fs/2014-June/019669.html

It's where Harsha and several FreeBSD developers are getting it
working properly, creating a port for FreeBSD (and FreeNAS), and
so on.

Hope that helps. :)

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift
