How to rescue Data from failed Brick?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

i have 3 Brick Distributed with one Volume. Each Brick as md0=root md1=swap and md2 for the glusterfs data and files. After the root (md) on Brick 1 crashed. I can not boot -> grub error cant find amd64 full file and unknown partitiontable with bad geometry block count - perhaps here someone can help - i think about to rescue the brick data. i can mount md2 and see all files on the glusterbrick folders. So the question is how could i restore the volume and all files? My way whould:
1. backup all data from md2 (glusterfs files)
2. rebuild the brick with raid
3. install glusterfs
4. add new brick into old volume
3. copy back all backuped files into the same directory of brick1
4. run rebalance

But i am unsure if this is the right way. Please help - thx
