Making an uneducated guess, I would bet that lessfs doesn't support extended attributes. Check your client and brick logs.

Hi,

I'm afraid I don't really know how to approach this issue, so I'm copying gluster-users. Is lessfs a disk filesystem on its own? Or does is work with disk filesystems underneath, such as ext4, XFS, etc.?

Hi:

I'm trying to let gluster combine with a deduplicating file system, lessfs, but I
face some problems during the experiment. When I create gluster volume on the directory which has been format to lessfs, I have the problem in using gluster client to mount to the gluster server. I input "df -h", the system shows that I indeed mount to gluster server but when I input "ls "the mount point directory" ", the terminal shows that "ls cannot access "the mount point directory": Operation not supported".

Please tell me how do you establish gluster on lessfs or teach my how to solve my problem. Thanks a million.
