Can you re-ip servers in a gluster brick without breaking it?

Howdy,
We need to re-ip the servers that make up a gluster volume.
Unfortunately when they were setup I was stupid and did not use
hostnames and instead specified each brick in the volume by ip. Ex
10.103.114.4:/exports/DATA 10.103.114.5:/exports/DATA ...
10.103.114.X:/exports/DATA

Can I just stop gluster services on every server, search/replace the
contents of /var/lib/glusterd/vols and /var/lib/glusterd/peers, then
restart everything? My fear is the hostname (IP) is important to
something in DHT or the metadata written to the bricks xattrs.
