Thank you Joe. I was able to resolve the issue. Ran glusterd --debug. It was looking for python under /usr/local/bin. But on the target machine it was located at /usr/bin. Once I set up the softlink, I was able to start glusterd. Thanks, Chitra ./glusterd --debug [2013-10-16 17:03:15.969304] I [glusterfsd.c:1670:main] 0-./glusterd: Started running ./glusterd version 3.3.2 [2013-10-16 17:03:15.969409] D [glusterfsd.c:457:get_volfp] 0-glusterfsd: loading volume file /usr/local/etc/glusterfs/glusterd.vol [2013-10-16 17:03:15.969981] I [glusterd.c:807:init] 0-management: Using /var/lib/glusterd as working directory [2013-10-16 17:03:15.970016] D [glusterd.c:243:glusterd_rpcsvc_options_build] 0-: listen-backlog value: 128 [2013-10-16 17:03:15.970097] D [rpcsvc.c:1872:rpcsvc_init] 0-rpc-service: RPC service inited.
