Mounting replicated volume fails - terminatingupon getting ENODEV when reading /dev/fuse

Here is what I get

$lsmod | grep fuse
fuse                   58446  0

And yes /dev/fuse is present in the machine I am trying to mount

$ls -lhtra /dev/fuse

crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 10, 229 Jul  5 02:29 /dev/fuse
