For anyone out there running gluster on top of ZFS, I ran across a bug in zfsonlinux's SA code that causes symlinks that have a target path greater than 16 characters to get corrupted as xattr data gets added to the inode. Obviously, this doesn't play nice with gluster. https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/issues/1648 There's a simple patch (workaround) that essentially forces symlinks to use the normal 'dir' style xattr format while they go back and fix the underlying SA code.
