so are you asking if gluster would do all the load balancing for you for static content? I bet it could if you created a volume with extremely high replication. This potentially similar to the idea of using a gluster distributed volume to replace a distributed file cache. Curious if anyone has tried this and the results are as good /comparable to just manually replicating the files on normal disks.
