infiniband bonding

Looking at the answers of the post:

Gluster 3.2 is known to use only since HCA for the transport right now over
RDMA.
RDMA codebase AFAIK doesn't use two HCA communication points to do RDMA for
the time being.

It seems as a "limitation" in gluster implementation. I guess using IP as
transport will enable bonding...would it be a workaround?
