gluster as a storage backend to samba

as a plain "vanilla" setup? no tweaking was needed?

my setup is pretty standard, a volume replicated across two 
boxes, one of those boxes shares the volume via standard 
samba share, I've tried some tweaking with samba but problem 
persists
