Configuring ldconfig

Is it enough to add the path /usr/local/lib to ldconfig or will I need to add the /usr/local/lib/gluster too?
> [eric at sn1 glusterfs-3.3.0]$ ldconfig -p | grep \/usr\/local\/lib
> ?? ?libglusterfs.so.0 (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/local/lib/libglusterfs.so.0
> ?? ?libglusterfs.so (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/local/lib/libglusterfs.so
> ?? ?libgfxdr.so.0 (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/local/lib/libgfxdr.so.0
> ?? ?libgfxdr.so (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/local/lib/libgfxdr.so
> ?? ?libgfrpc.so.0 (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/local/lib/libgfrpc.so.0
> ?? ?libgfrpc.so (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/local/lib/libgfrpc.so
