Gluster 3.3 and FS

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi Mitsue,

I have a report from a colleague that his company was using Gluster for storing mailboxes and they end up with many issues. I think it was something related to number of small files which is known to not perform well.
Needless to say for you to test the performance, specially the write performance, before putting into production.

Subject: Gluster 3.3 and FS

Hello,

We are planning to use Gluster 3.3 and NFS with Geo-replication. We wonder what would be the best FS : ext3, ext4 or xfs?

We are going to build a storage for mailboxes files.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Regards,
