Also I would think that strace -tt -f from the client and servers 
(client and brick processes) could be useful, but the time would have to 
be synchronized. I think that would best identify a possible race. My 
suspicion is that it's the same as 
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765512 (which I still see 
with 3.3.0).

It would also be wise, if you have a reproducible problem like that, to 
file a bug report. If it is a duplicate, as you were asking in -devel, 
someone will mark it so and you'll have your answer, otherwise they can 
ask for more information and fix it so we all win. :D
