Stable glusterFS version and total back migration

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear all,

we have been trying glusterFS 3.1 at our institute since Jan 2011 now
and had a lot of unsolved problems, that were discussed on this mailing
list at great length but without much success.
In a previous test environment, glusterFS 3.0 seemed to run more
reliably. Is there a sort of stable release of glusterFS that isn't
affected by the known problems? (Problem with ownership and non-primary
groups, the "invalid argument" problems and problems with the
non-working deletion of files)

If there is no such thing as a stable release, does anyone have
experience with total back-migration, i.e. switching off glusterFS
completely and using the single bricks with NFS again?

If so, I would be happy to hear about your experiences.
