Is Gluster Patched FUSE still necessary to use GlusterFS to its full potential or did the Gluster patches make it into the main FUSE source? What about FUSE in the kernel? If its still beneficial to run the special Gluster FUSE what benifits does it offer that I won't get if I use the stock FUSE with my distro?
