Running glusterfs-volgen produces two volume files.(server and client files) First the start the glusterfs server (say,xen-0) using command glusterfsd -f /path/to/server/export.vol -l gs.log then check your log file to make sure server started successfully.Then login to client machine (xen-1) and start glusterfs client, glusterfsd -f /path/to/client/mount.vol /your_mount_point -l gc.log run df command to verify glusterfs is mounted.
