concern about lack of answers

Sal, Thanks a lot for the reply. We are very pleased to see how supportive and mature our
Gluster community is!.

Ever since we started GlusterFS development, we forgot holidays and weekends all together.
Most of us hardly sleep at night (may be in the day ;). We very much want to actively
participate in the community discussions, but due to lack of time we are unable to do so.

We are successful, because our community is spreading the word around and promoting us. We
are obligated to help our community too, not just paid customers. We should at least
answer new type of questions on the mailing lists. Our team has doubled in size this year
alone. We will assign some dedicated resources to answering the community moving forward.

Our commercial success is dependent on how big our community is. We are beginning to see
good traction on the commercial side. Most of our customers today came from they
community. They download GlusterFS, tried it themselves and purchased subscription when
they took the system to production or scaled their business.

Lets hope 2010 will make all of our lives easier with Gluster Platform 3.0 (launching in 5
more days). It automates installation, configuration and optimization to a large degree.
It doest not require sys-admin skills.

Happy Hacking!
