You still have to install rpcgen before building. The build process isn't going to do that for you.

Hello again Kaleb,

Thank you for the clarification - at least now I know where the rpcgen is.
Unfortunately, the problem still persists.

I'm attaching the repo file and terminal output.
Might you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you very much for your assistance,

Barak

Greeting Kaleb,

Thank you for the clarification.

Though, I did try to install rpcgen package, but without success (libtirpc-devel package is installed).
I'm attaching relevant terminal output.

What am I missing?

you must not use --without-libtirpc on RHEL8.

rpcgen is in the rpcgen package on RHEL8 and Fedora 29+

Greeting all,

I've made a fresh installation of RHEL 8 on a VM and have been trying to set up Gluster on that system.

Running ./autogen.sh completes OK, but running ./config results in an error regarding missing 'rpcgen'.
'libtirpc-devel package is installed.
Running ./configure --without-libtirp  results in the same error.
I'm attaching reverent terminal output.
I'm currently out of ideas.

I appreciate any help you may offer,

Barak
