Hi,
Release 3.12 has been branched today, and the following branches and
tags created on our git repo.
- release-3.12 [1]
- v3.12.0alpha1 tag [2]
- v4.0dev tag [2]
What this means:
- Fixes for bugs need to be backported to 3.12 branch going forward
- As of this mail, the active branches to backport fixes to are,
3.8, 3.10, 3.11 and 3.12
- 3.11 will see its last release on 20th August, post which this branch
will be dropped.
- Along the same lines 3.8 will see its last release just before or
after 3.12 and will be dropped from the backport requirement.
Blockers for 3.12.0 need to be filed against [3]
Dashboard for reviews to 3.12 would appear in gerrit as the infra team
picks up the corresponding bug [4]
Finally, this mail will be followed with a feature status mail, that
talks about the pending scope in 3.12 and exceptions etc.
