Hi Sac,
Is it correct that gdeploy requires Ansible 2.1 or newer[0]? Last week
I've had a discussion at the CentOS Interlock meeting with others about
getting Ansible provided by the CentOS CfgMgmt SIG. Their plan is to
provide distinct repositories for Ansible 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2[1], with an
option to have something like ansible-2-latest[2].
Preferred version of ansible for gdeploy is 2.2, however gdeploy is compatible with
2.1 version of ansible. It would be great if we can ship ansible 2.2.
At the moment I am thinking about how to structure new repositories that
can work with different versions of GlusterFS. A repository with
miscellaneous tools that do not have direct dependencies on a glusterfs
RPM might be most useful.
centos-release-gluster-tools
- depends on an unversioned centos-release-gluster
- contains packages like gdeploy
(makes the -tools repository depend on centos-release-ansible-2)
This sounds good.
Heketi could well be part of this repository too. It runs on a system
that does not require Gluster packages to be installed.
What do you think, does this work for gdeploy?
Yes. This works for gdeploy.
