Hi,
I have started working on this selective read-only feature.

I was working on Tiering aware Geo-replication, refer [4] below, hence you
didn't see any update on this feature.

Hopefully, you can expect some updates in this month.

Thanks,
Saravana

Hi,

Is progress being made on the RFE selective read-only mode,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=829042 ?

This feature is necessary to enable OpenStack Manila shares
backed by GlusterFS using glusterfs_native driver[1] to
have read-only access. Read-only access for shares is a
feature that a driver must implement to continue
to exist in Mitaka release of Manila[2]. The Manila community
has set a deadline for the feature to be part of the Manila
code base by March 3rd, 2016[3]. The RFE would need to be
implemented and part of a GlusterFS release by the end of
January, 2016, to give the driver maintainers time to complete
the Manila portion of the effort before the deadline.

Considering the RFE's importance for GlusterFS's presence
in the Manila project, it would be great if someone can
help out soon. I don't see the RFE as a part of GlusterFS 3.8
road map[4] as well.

Thanks,
Ramana
