[Status]: RichACL support in GlusterFS

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

It's been long I sent any update on the RichACL work being done for GlusterFS.
Following is the current state of the work being done.

Current State:
+ Initial patch uploaded at https://github.com/rajeshjoseph/glusterfs
+ Able to use setrichacl and getrichacl tool on gluster mount which set and retrieves RichACL for a file.
+ Currently using ext4 with RichACL support as backend.
+ Using the test cases provided by Andreas (https://github.com/andreas-gruenbacher/richacl) to validate the implementation

Some of the TODOs:
+ Provide support for chmod command
+ Move RichACL enforcement from Ext4 to Gluster.
+ Integrate this with NFS and SMB

Best Regards,
Rajesh
