Hi All,

I was using glusterfs-3.7 beta2 build (

I have seen rebalance failure in one of the node.

[dht-rebalance.c:2528:gf_defrag_fix_layout] 0-vmstore-dht: Fix layout
failed for /.trashcan

dht_layout is not populated for trashcan and contents inside trashcan,
because they are created at server side (brick). We suspect this as
reason for this error.

I don't think that should be an issue. When is the .trashcan directory created?

Nithya

When the volume is started for the first time.

Jiffin
I had send a patch to skip rebalance for trash directory and its
contents : http://review.gluster.org/#/c/9865/

Does it have any impact ?

CCing dht folks here.
