hi Vijai,
I am not sure if you are maintaining this now, but git blame
gives your name, so sending the mail to you. Could you please take a
look at
http://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/8148/consoleFull
where the failure happened. If someone else is looking into this, please
add him/her to the thread.

Hi Pranith,

I will have a look at this testcase failure.
I think even Atin had faced issue with
this. I am not sure if he has solved it.

Quick update on this :

Looking at the log I found this error

snap4-ba05b929-8cb3-4bf2-811f-1b31b1fb881f.log:[2015-05-04 05:17:24.192063] E [snapview-server-helpers.c:497:__svs_initialise_snapshot_volume] 0-patchy-snapview-server: initing the fs for snap4 failed
snap6-9d0dc48a-1c04-4533-90e8-b74aed79df2f.log:[2015-05-04 03:48:44.946173] E [rpc-transport.c:512:rpc_transport_unref] (--> /build/install/lib/libglusterfs.so.0(_gf_log_callingfn+0x240)[0x7f280bea1874] (--> /build/install/lib/libgfrpc.so.0(rpc_transport_unref+0x5e)[0x7f280bc68616] (--> /build/install/lib/libgfrpc.so.0(+0x13c7f)[0x7f280bc6dc7f] (--> /build/install/lib/libgfrpc.so.0(rpc_clnt_unref+0x6f)[0x7f280bc6dd6d] (--> /build/install/lib/glusterfs/3.8dev/xlator/protocol/client.so(fini+0x66)[0x7f27e73cd7d1] ))))) 0-rpc_transport: invalid argument: this

__svs_initialize_snapshot_volume failed because of failure of glfs_init.
With the available information, I am not sure why glfs_init failed.
I am trying to find the root cause for this. I have executed this more
than 20 times in my system, and It did not fail even once :-/

If any of you have encountered issue similar to this, your help
is much appreciated.

I have seen the second error line in gfapi logs while running sample gfapi programs. I think, it is being logged during the invocation of glfs_fini(). But here, even glfs_init() failed which was not the case for me. Note that this "invalid argument: this" error is seen in logs even after successful run of a gfapi program.
