Hi, As 3.7 release approaches, here's a summary of our current thinking about the RPM versions that will ship in various versions of Fedora. Fedora 20: glusterfs-3.5.x Fedora 21: glusterfs-3.6.x Fedora 22: glusterfs-3.6.x Fedora 23 (rawhide) glusterfs-3.7.x
I'm surprised nobody caught this. The correct list is Fedora 20: glusterfs-3.5.x Fedora 21: glusterfs-3.5.x Fedora 22: glusterfs-3.6.x Fedora 23 (rawhide) glusterfs-3.7.x
N.B. we will continue to provide community packages of all versions of GlusterFS on download.gluster.org for all shipping/supported versions of Fedora and RHEL (including CentOS, etc.). We will also continue to provide community packages for selected other distributions. To avoid a repeat of the issue we had with the release of the RHS versions of GlusterFS-3.6 RPMs in RHEL and CentOS, we intend to ship GlusterFS 3.7 RPMs that have Release numbers starting with 100, e.g.: Community GlusterFS RPMs: glusterfs-3.7.0-100.el6.x86_64.rpm RHGS RPMs on RHEL, CentOS, etc.: glusterfs-3.7.0.29-1.el6.x86_64.rpm Testing shows that using the above scheme will preclude RHGS RPMs from ever over-writing Community GlusterFS RPMs that have been installed on a system.
