The Gluster Forge -- new and improved version 2 with extra sprinkles

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi everyone,

The Gluster Forge at present is currently hosted using
Gitorious.

We're planning on migrating these projects to GitHub in the
near future (next few days) - as that's where the majority
of the Open Source Community is.

The "forge.gluster.org" URL will then be very simple website
(2 pages!) that:

 * lists the projects (in categories, for easy finding)
 * shows the activity for the projects, across all of them
(easy to obtain and update stats for hourly, using the
    GitHub API)

So far I've knocked up :) some dodgy Python code to do the
hourly stats collection + stick them in a SQLite database:

  https://github.com/gluster/forge

(Pull Requests to make it less dodgy are welcome btw!)

As we get projects into GitHub from the current Forge,
the "config" file there needs to be updated to include
them.

If one of your Gluster Forge v1 projects is already on
GitHub, please let me know. (or send a pull request adding
it to the config file)

Hopefully that's workable for people, and helps us get a
bunch more contributors to the projects over time... :D

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift
