Do you see a correlation between the files which are getting into this mismatching size, and files for which you see:
[...] W [fuse-bridge.c:953:fuse_setattr_cbk] 0-glusterfs-fuse: 3665613: SETATTR() /manu/netbsd/../filename => -1 (No such file or directory)
