This is probably because since 5672e77d3102a990a2aa11e7e56ebfe6a0eee369 all logging happens with UTC? (This helps easier debugging with geo-replication etc.)

I wonder if that could explain another problem I have with logs in
3.4.0: they appaear in the log file with some delay, which makes
debugging a pain. I am not sure if it could be related to date skew or
with inappropriate buffering.
