Can you give some more background on what you did to reproduce this, and also logs from the server?

mounting the same glusterfs volume on another mount point (while not
unmounting the faulty filesystem), I have no problem using it. But
the first mount returns EINVAL or ENOENT when accessing anything that
is not in the cache.

Of course unmounting and remounting will fix the problem, but I kept
the client runninng in case someone has an idea of what should be
investigated.
