Once a node TTL is expired, you will have to do a LOOKUP again, but if
you can avoid doing a FORGET for a node you are going to lookup again
immediatly, you save the cost of the FORGET operation. This is the
rationale for postponing FORGET a bit, so that you have an opportunity
to cancel it because the node is still being used.
