3.2.6 crash

Hello

I had a strange crash with 3.2.6. It looks like a string fragment
overwritten an inode pointer. I am not sure the informations below is
useful, as the stack looks rather unhealthy, but I report it just in
case it rings a bell to someone. I kept the core file if someone is
interested.

Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
