it was developed around 2.0.1 release, and used to work fine. Just that we didn't had any users asking for it (everyone asks user level or directory level), we haven't stress tested it

now, with 3.0.0 there are some internal API changes, with which we haven't tested it yet..

patches are always welcome :-) even otherwise, by 3.0.2 timeframe 
(which may be 6-8 weeks away) it can be ready to use.
